This is not a review of the product itself but CM’s overall online shopping platform and system.
I made my first order on August 25, including two items. It took three weeks for the first item to arrive. The other, the Silk Charmeuse Pleated Pant, said it was shipped online but I never received a tracking number. I reached out on September 12 to locate where it was. When I asked about the order status, I was provided the wrong tracking number and the wrong carrier multiple times.
I checked online and as of September 12, the website was still selling the pants. I went in store and when I asked, they ordered me another pair, telling me that there was ample inventory at the warehouse. They knew the situation and yet never canceled my first order, which was final sale. When I asked them to cancel the second, they said that that was not possible because the order immediately gets transferred over to the warehouse. Why would they not notify the customer that they may end up with two of the pants by processing the order?
All of this to find out a day later that CM cancelled my order because of no inventory? I also never received any notification on my order getting cancelled other than through response to my inquiry. I filed a complaint about this through the customer service line. The response was "here is a 30% promo code".
On September 18, I reached out again to check on the order status of my second order. I wanted to make sure I would get on-time delivery this time after being burned the first time. I was told that it takes 2-3 business days to process before getting sent to the warehouse. I was told to wait. I reached out again on September 25. I was told "we haven't charged you yet so if you see it online, you can place another order if you would like".
On October 3, my second order was cancelled because of no stock again. The item is, once again, still selling online.
No item is worth this much time and effort. Strongly encourage anyone to reconsider if you are shopping online or foresee any reason the customer service team needs to resolve something for you.
